The integration of Printronix printers directly with SAPTM
R/3®’s
spool system allows you to print bar codes, reports and
forms without expensive middleware. Printronix
integration solutions are SAP registered (OSS Note
#141719) and are recognized on SAP AG’s "List of
Supported Printers" (OSS Note 8928).
New! OSS Note 0137372
describes label printing with Printronix printers.
With SAP version 4.6C, SAP R/3 systems come
with a native Printronix device type designed
specifically for label printing. The use of this device
type is documented in OSS Note 0137372.
In addition, our own SAP Application Notes expand on
OSS notes with screen snapshots, sample program
listings, and answers to commonly asked questions. It
also provides guidance for using ascii device types
developed by Printronix for R/3 versions prior to 4.6C.

While the ascii device type can be used on all
properly equipped Printronix printers, some users will
prefer to make use of their existing SapScript programs
with the LP+ device type, or the PCL device type for
Laser printers.
